Directions/Ferries: 

*Because summertime ferry traffic is extremely busy, please be sure to reserve your chosen ferry sailings (both there and back) as soon as possible. **Pay only the reservation fee, not the full fare, until you get to the terminal.

From Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay):

Reserve either the 6:15am or 8:30am ferry sailing time to Nanaimo 

(Departure Bay) 

Or

From Vancouver (Tsawwassen):

Reserve either the 5:15am or 7:45am sailing to Nanaimo (Duke Point) 

Once on Vancouver Island, drive north along Island Highway 19 to Campbell River ferry terminal. You cannot reserve these smaller ferries. 

The ferries to Quadra Island run every half hour. Take the next available ferry. The crossing time is 15minutes. 

*Be sure to tell the ticket agent that you are going through to Cortes Island and you will get a “thru fare” ticket to present at the next & final (3rd) ferry terminal. 

Once on Quadra Island, follow the signs to Heriot Bay/Cortes Ferry. It’s a ten minute drive across the island. Join the ferry lineup on the right side of the road and park until boarding time. The ferries to Cortes depart Heriot Bay at 11:55am, 1:40pm, 3:25pm. The crossing time is 45minutes. 

Once on Cortes, drive off the ferry and follow the road to the T junction where you turn left onto Carrington Bay Road. Take your first left Sawmill Road and we are at the very end on your right. Look for the gate with “298”. Follow the winding driveway until you arrive at the main house. 

On the return trip:

From Nanaimo (Departure Bay):

Reserve either the 6:20pm or 8:30pm sailing to Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay) 

Or

From Nanaimo (Duke Point):

Reserve either the 5:45pm or 8:15pm sailing to Vancouver (Tsawwassen)
